Dave Sparvell
Chief Executive Officer
Dave Sparvell is the CEO of Swissquote Bank Europe, with over 25 years of experience in banking and financial services. He has a career predominantly served within TD Bank’s wealth management division in Europe, holding responsibilities across a broad number of commercial and operational roles both in the UK and Luxembourg. Dave has overseen the development of TD Bank International (also known as Internaxx Bank) in Luxembourg that led to the acquisition of the Bank by the Swissquote Group in 2019, leading further expansion with the acquisition of Keytrade Bank Luxembourg in 2022. As CEO of Swissquote Bank Europe, Dave is responsible for Swissquote’s European growth objectives.
John Ehlers
Chief Operating Officer
Jack Ehlers has worked as COO and Authorised Manager at Bitstamp Europe S.A. in Luxembourg, managing the groups operational teams and recently accountable for the delivery of regulatory licencing for crypto assets across Europe. He has 14 years of executive and board experience in Luxembourg at CSSF regulated financial services firms including banking, EMI and PI projects. He has worked at a number of payment services companies such as Paypal and Alipay providing him with extensive knowledge of payments networks and services, crypto, electronic money and fintech product strategy.
Laurence Plancq
General Manager
Laurence Plancq is the General Manager for Swissquote Bank Europe. For 10 years, she was the Managing Director at Syncordis Luxembourg, responsible for banking solutions and strategic projects, delivering finance and risk expertise for Temenos T24 core banking clients, such as BNP Paribas. She is currently accountable for the global Swissquote T24 support contract as part of her role at Syncordis. Laurence has extensive knowledge of banking activities, processes and products in various business lines. She also has expertise in various risk management areas, internal control, accounting and analysis as well as EU regulatory reporting standards. Laurence has previously worked in Singapore as Authorised Manager of a Luxembourgish bank branch, she speaks French and English.
Cathy André is the Chief Risk Officer of Swissquote Bank Europe. Cathy, who joined the Bank in 2001, is currently responsible for overseeing the Bank's risk management and strategy, developing its risk culture, and strengthening its resilience. She is also a passionate advocate of diversity, inclusion, and social responsibility values, actively leading and contributing to the CSR Committee's initiatives.
David Lee
Head of Legal and Compliance
David Lee is the Head of Legal & Compliance, and has responsibilities as Data Protection Officer and the Digital Assets Oversight Officer. He joined the bank in 2019 after previous experience at Handelsbanken, Banque Carnegie, and HSBC. A Cambridge University graduate from the UK, he has been working in the Luxembourg financial sector for over 20 years, with a focus on anti-money laundering, capital markets and banking prudential regulations. He contributes to the Luxembourg Association of Compliance Officers working group on crypto-assets, and is a member of the Professional Obligations Committee of the Luxembourg Bankers' Association.
Jeremy Lauret
Head of Direct Investing
Jeremy Lauret serves as Head of Direct Investing at Swissquote Bank Europe. With 20+ years of combined commercial and financial markets experience, Jeremy brings a track record in leading commercial development and change driven both organically and via M&A. Jeremy leads the Product, Marketing, Partner Solutions and Client Success functions, responsible for growing the bank through the development and commercialisation of the product and service offering, and for engagement with retail clients and wealth partners. He also oversees the Client Services function supporting clients who invest via Swissquote’s digital platforms.
Cyrille Citton is the Head of Finance at Swissquote Bank Europe, with over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, he is a seasoned finance and accounting professional with past experience at Banque Transatlantique, Banque Carnegie Luxembourg, and Bank Leumi. He has gained extensive experience and great knowledge of banking operations and services, audit, statutory and regulatory reporting, corporate taxes and VAT. Cyrille’s main responsibilities also include establishing strong governance and controlling environment, overseeing financial planning and analysis, tax and financial systems for the Bank and supporting the leadership team as a valuable contributor to the Bank’s growth objectives across all business lines.
Christine Bell
Head of HR and Governance
Christine Bell is Head of HR and Corporate Governance for Swissquote Bank Europe. With over 35 years of experience in HR and people strategies in the UK and Luxembourg she has worked for the Bank since 2009, with a passion to ensure the Bank provides a strong employee experience. Christine holds the ILA Certification in Luxembourg Company Secretarial & Governance Practice, she is also responsible for facilities, and leads the Bank’s ESG strategy.
